THOUGHT OF CHRISTIANITY
First and foremost, what does Christianity entail? It means to be Christ-like. You are not a Christian if you have no idea of who Jesus Christ is because Christianity is about being like Jesus. It is more of a way of life than religion, it’s the God kind of life.
Growing up in a Christian home, I went to church, Christian meetings, read the Bible like a storybook. I read about God, the story of David and Goliath, Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, Moses etc. I saw most of the miracles that happened in the Bible but never believed it could really happen now.
I kept on hearing that the plan of God for everyone is in the Bible but didn’t understand because I never saw my name in the Bible. I still kept on following God even though my knowledge of the Bible was very shallow. I knew that God was mighty and there were many things I didn’t know about Him until I started seeing results and proofs of God’s faithfulness in the life of my Mum. As a result of this, I became conscious of my walk with God and things began to change.
THE WORD
Some of us need to see miracles practically before we believe. Gone are those days when the sentence, “as poor as a church rat” was used.
For the next few days, I will be shedding more light on who Jesus Christ is, why He is important to us and the fruits of the Spirit.
I will be backing up what I say with the Word of God. Why?
Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Also, the Word was present at the beginning of creation.
John 1: 1, 3,10,14
Vs 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Vs 3: All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
Vs 10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Vs 14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Jesus has been present right from the very Beginning even before our fathers of old e.g Abraham, Isaac etc. Even Jesus while on earth, testified of this fact.
In John 8: 58, Jesus said unto them, verily verily I say unto you, before Abraham was I am. Jesus was sent as a gift to humanity.
MAN BEFORE THE FALL
When God created Adam, He put him in command, told him to have dominion over the earth ( Gen 1: 28). He only gave Adam one command, never to eat of a particular tree called the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Gen 2: 17). Through the serpent to Eve and finally Adam, this rule was broken and as a result of this, sin came into the world and man was cursed by God.
Being descendant of Adam, suffering entered into the world. Suffering and difficulty became the estate of man while a fruitful, peaceful and productive life became strangers to men. Even up till now, people would rather prefer to suffer and get things the hard way than to believe and get things cheaply.
Thank God for Jesus the only begotten son of God who came to reconcile us back to God thereby averting the curses and thank God for His love towards humanity for sending His only precious son Jesus to die for us even though we don’t deserve it.
BIBLE VERSES
Romans 5: 12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
1 Corinthians 15: 21- 22
Vs 21: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
Vs 22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Only if the devil knew the reason Jesus was sent to earth, he will never have killed Him.
Jesus Christ came to restore us back to the enjoyment we lost in the Garden of Eden.
What was present in the garden of Eden? I will be mentioning a few;
1)Dominion – Man had dominion over all things on earth. In the same way, we have dominion over all things in Christ.
2)Man had a wonderful communion with God. Adam spoke to God like He was right beside him i.e man was highly spiritual.
3)Life was so easy in the Garden of Eden. Adam had all he wanted because God provided him with what he needed per time. He never asked for Eve but God took notice of how lonely he would be on his own (my caring Father).
Regardless of how Christianity is defined, Jesus is at the center of it all
It is in Jesus that we have all this back. At least now you know the reason why things are not working out for you the way they should. It is important that you accept Jesus into your life and let Him be your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are in this category, join me in the salvation prayer.

Lord Jesus, I come as a sinner, forgive me all my sins, cleanse me with your blood. I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour, I am free from all powers of sin, to serve the living God.
