Patience: God's time is the best Be Patient

Patience: God’s time is the best be Patient

In His time, He makes all things beautiful in His time. In this post, I’ll be writing on Patience and God’s timing.

Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit which a believer should possess and is also seen in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Patience

In life, things are moving fast and so also is time. Time they say waits for no man. A lot of things happen so fast, people want to get rich as quick as they can, they want to start a family as soon as they can, everything they want is now. While it is good to have things early in life but the bigger parcel, the more valuable asset comes with patience.

If you want to receive something good and perfect from God then you need to be patient.

The Bible says in Hebrews 6: 12. “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises”.

We are admonished to be followers of them who through Faith and Patience inherit the promise if you read through the remaining part of the verse, you’ll notice Abraham was mentioned.

God promised Abraham a son despite his age and that of his wife Sarah. Abraham believed God and was strong in Faith (Romance 4: 18).

It’s true God promised Abraham a son in his old age but Isaac didn’t come immediately. Abraham still had to wait for another 25 years before his son was born. In the physical realm, the time had already gone while for God, that was the appropriate time.

The same thing is happening in people’s lives today. You’ve prayed for something and God has promised to give it to you but it looks like it’s taking forever. Some might attribute this delay to the devil (although sometimes, that might be the case but not for Abraham). God is never late, He is always on time. God’s time is the best time and your best is yet to come.

Benefit of waiting

The good thing about the gift of God once you’ve waited is, it lasts long, priceless and perfect. God’s timing is totally different from the timing of man. The fact that people pray to God and He answers others quickly compared to you does not make you any less His child neither does it mean He loves you less. He has something big for you just be patient.

Even before we came into this world, God had already planned out our lives. He knows each and every one of us. He knows when we are ready to take responsibility for the next stage in our life. God knows that if he had given some things to us at some point in our lives it would have ended up affecting us negatively and some might end up believing it was all their effort.

God loves us much more than we love ourselves and he will not intentionally withhold something from you if He believes it will benefit you.

As I said earlier, some delay could be as a result of demonic manipulation. As far as you have prayed to break down all holds of the devil and your faith is also strongly intact, that would automatically be taken care of.

Lack of patience

A lot of people have run into trouble due to impatience. People have gotten into wrong marriages because they saw others getting married and didn’t want to be left alone. Others happened as a result of pressure from relatives and friends. Some went to different places and ended up engaging in ungodly things all in a bid to have children. Some have totally turned their back on God because they’ve been introduced to a better way of making money which is quick instead of having to wait for long. What people are not aware of is the repercussion attached to them. They would never have tried it only if they knew better. The consequences are usually hard and unbearable compared to one waiting.

Having patience and waiting on God’s time is way better than doing things your way.

Once God has promised you something, believe Him and move on, don’t fix your mind on it because it could lead to a range of emotions e.g some days one would have faith, other day doubt would set in. Try to fix your mind on something else but believe that He will perfect all that concerns you and He surely will.

It is important that you accept Jesus into your life if you haven’t and let Him be your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are in this category, join me in the salvation prayer.
