Love is said to be as strong as death (Songs of Solomon 8: 6). God is the epitome of love. He keeps showing us what true love is and this cannot be exhausted. One thing that is ever- present in Heaven is love and this cannot be seen in hell.
Love is priceless and comes with a lot of benefits when applied appropriately. Agape love which is the highest form of love is what I will be writing about throughout the course of this series on love.
Agape love is the kind of love God has for man. He gave His only begotten son as a sacrificial lamb for man despite man being at fault. It is also the kind of love man should have for God. Abraham got ready to sacrifice to God His Son that he waited 25 years to have. The 3 Hebrew boys were thrown into the fiery furnace because they refused to bow to any other God. Daniel disobeyed the king’s orders which involved honouring a Persian god and were later thrown into the lion’s den.
Agape love also involves reciprocating this type of love to our neighbours and people around us. You cannot say that you love God and hate your neighbour, it’s impossible. Once you have the love of God in you, it radiates to every area of your life.
