Healing and Health
Many people know about sicknesses, diseases, healings, and deliverances. Not many have understood the kind of health God had in mind for us right from the beginning.
At the beginning (Genesis 1: 1), God created the Heavens, Earth, Sea, Ocean, and everything you can think of. In Genesis 1: 26, He said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”. Summarizing the other part of the verse, He said man should have dominion over everything on earth. Note, there was no other thing God created in His image and likeness apart from man.
The thief
Sicknesses and diseases are alien to God. He is the source of all creation. In the same vein, man is made in the very image and likeness of God making him also immune to illnesses and diseases. The first man and woman represented as Adam and Eve were immune to sicknesses and diseases until they sinned and became separated from God. This separation made room for the devil to take over their lives.
Also, he dethrones them of the position God had given them as rulers on earth. Remember 2 Corinthians 4:4 refers to satan as the god of this world also, when Jesus was tempted by satan, one of the promises he made was to give Jesus the kingdom of this world if he bowed and worshipped him. The devil wouldn’t have made such a bargain if he didn’t steal the kingdom of this earth from man (Adam). As the Word of God tells us, satan has nothing, his only purpose is to steal (as we have seen in this case), kill and destroy.
God’s initial plan
God’s original plan was for man to be healthy and enjoy all He has placed before him. He wanted the fellowship of man just like Adam and Eve had with Him. It was His delight to see man happy just as it is up till now. But man’s disobedience to God made him a slave to the devil. Man chose his destiny against God’s will as a result, he suffered all sorts of calamities such as sicknesses, hardship, failure, neglect, shame which were all strange to him before. Thank God for Jesus whom God sent to restore man back to his formal position as it was in the garden of Eden.
The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. The number of years God entrusted to Adam (Man) to rule the earth which was hijacked by the devil has to run out for another new beginning to occur. This process will begin after this age begins to wrap up, after the rapture. Believers in Christ, we are at the tail end of this age.

Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood, and deliver me from the power of sin and death. Thank you Lord, for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.
