DON’T REJECT CORRECTIONS, EMBRACE IT

Don’t reject corrections, embrace it. The truth can be sometimes bitter and the same goes for corrections. People are not really fond of those who correct them and tell them the truth.

A student that fails a subject and his other friends did very well in that same area should not feel depressed, it’s not the end of the world. This also applies to other areas of our lives including finances, marriage, profession etc.

We all have our parts to play in these areas, for example, this student should find areas where he is weak in and works on it. He should find people who did better in those areas and compare their works with his to know where he got it wrong. When some people fail, they don’t want to go back to see what happened. They feel so sad and just they try hard to forget about it. This will likely have a negative impact on them because they failed to find out where they miss it thereby improving.

It is usually painful going back to see where you have gone wrong because that damage has already been done and you cannot change what has already taken place but you can prevent more damages from happening and even end up with a turnaround testimony.

Rather than being envious and jealous of people who are making it be sincerely happy for them. Find out from them what exactly it is they did to excel in that area. The good ones will tell you the truth and most of the time. There is usually a lot of hard work and patience involved. Flee from those who get their success from ill-gotten or devilish sources. It is only a matter of time before what they have crashed.

                                                AN ILLUSTRATION

A man was told that he had mouth odour and he felt really embarrassed. The had a negative effect on his self-esteem. One fateful day, he realized that instead of being upset and allowing this condition damage his self-esteem, he had to find a way out.

First and foremost, he needs to be true to himself. He finally found people who had something similar to what he has and they helped him out.

It’s okay to feel bad but let it be just for a moment if possible, don’t let it affect you. Get up and start finding ways of helping yourself and when that phase is completed, help others around you.

Honest people, those with integrity are wonderful people to have as friends if you really want to grow and succeed in your endeavors. Remember that friendship is a choice, it’s not by force.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. The next time someone corrects you, don’t reject it.

Stay Blessed.
