Life: What you don't Know About Long Life

Life: What you don’t know about long life.

Everyone’s life is in God’s hand. Knowing what God says concerning long life and channeling it to your daily life will terminate all forms of “fears of the unknown”.

People are more concerned about what they can’t see than what they can see. This bothers people a lot, one does not know what to except when one dies. There have been various theories and believes of what to expect when one dies but the truth will set you free.

As much as it is said that God takes and God gives, do you know that there are people that have worked closely with God and don’t fear death?  When they’ve done what they are meant to do and have finished their race, they tell God that they want to go home. Some even know exactly when the will die (day, time etc). As a result of this, they gather their family members together and tell them their final farewell then go onto glory.

I’ve even heard stories of people eating their favorite meal and after that, giving up the ghost.

These people know things that we don’t know. Take time and look at the lives of these men of God that didn’t have to struggle, died at very old age without any sickness or diseases but because it was time.

You can be so close to God that He will tell you things that will happen which you’ll sometimes need to keep to yourself.

About Paul

I will write a bit about Paul the Apostle. He would be used to elaborate on my point.

Paul who was initially known as Saul, a well-read lawyer decided to take the job of torturing Christians. He had an encounter with Jesus while doing this and changed from his evil way. Paul was already in the world at the same time Jesus was. He was not part of His disciples. Paul was one of those that orchestrated the death of Stephen.

It was when Jesus died and went to heaven that Paul had an encounter with Him which changed his life forever. Paul became one of the people, pushing the gospel of Christ to the end of the earth. He escaped death many times. He was actually stoned to the point that people thought he was dead but then came back to life ( Acts 14: 19-23).

Bible passages about Paul

Paul wrote about  ⅔ of the new testament. Peter the great Apostle testified of Paul concerning the abundance of revelation and instruction ( 2 Peter 3: 15- 17).

Remember the devil also testified about Paul. Acts 19: 15 which says, “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus, I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”

There was a time Paul had to choose between remaining on earth for the benefit of his brethren or going to Heaven which was better for him.

This is what the Bible says in Philippians 1: 21-24

21: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

I’ve come to realize that when people die and go to Heaven or when their spirit leaves their body, they don’t want to come back. This is regardless of who or what they left behind. More often than none, they get upset when they see themselves back on earth. The difference is clear.

You can also be in the realm of knowing how long you’ll live on earth without any need to fear death, sickness or disease if you work towards it. The Bible tells us to work out our Salvation.

Promises of God to us regarding long life.

Psalm 91

vs 1: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Vs 14: Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high because he hath known my name.

Vs 15: He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

Vs 16:  With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Deuteronomy 5: 33

33 You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

Ephesians 6: 1-4

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Other Bible passages

1 Peter 3: 10

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Job 36: 11

11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Exodus 23: 25- 26

25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.

Finally on long life

These are some of the promises God has given us. This is regarding long life and a number of them are connected to serving God. We have our parts to play as recorded in each verse of these scriptures.

Once our parts are played, we can rest assured of receiving the promise. Don’t forget what Hebrews 6: 12 says, we are told not to be slothful but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promise. If you see testimony in someone’s life and you desire it, do something. find out what the did biblically. Put it to work in your life and you will see a replication taking place.

The number of years given to man by God can be seen in Genesis 6:3, Isaiah 65: 20, Psalm 90: 10. All are in the old testament, it, therefore, depends on what you want. No one is permitted to die of any sickness or disease. If one dies, the cause of death should be as a result of old age. It is to you according to your Faith.

I hope you’ve been blessed by this post, it would be nice to hear from you.
