The Lord God in the midst of thee is mighty. Before the onset of COVID 19, the human race was quite busy. Busy going to work, shopping, traveling, being in a hurry to get things done.
Many didn’t have time for God, they were too busy working. The number of evil occurrences happening in the world multiplied in every country. Seeking God became a thing of inconvenience. Sin became normal and those who were not indulging in sin were seeing as being weird/ abnormal by others.
Kidnapping, homosexuality, murder and all manner of sin became very common among youths and those in high places.
The understanding that earth is temporal and everyone will be rewarded according to his labour be it good or bad vanished into thin air. Now we hear of deaths all around the nations of the earth. People being unable to say goodbye to their loved ones. Where ever one looks, it’s bad news of COVID 19. People are being gripped by fear right in their homes.
Following the pattern through which God dealt with the people He created when they turned their backs on Him both the Israelites and other nations of the earth, you can see a similarity. Was it the time of Noah or Sodom and Gomorrha? Those who have neglected God, Jesus and chose to serve other gods, this period is a very risky one for such people.
The plan
God will not allow anything to happen unless He permits it. It’s true that the devil’s plan is to kill as many people as possible with this virus but in God’s infinite mercy, wants mankind to wake up from their slumber. To know and worship the only true God whose Son is Jesus Christ. Those who are faking Christianity, pretending to be children of God, this is not a very good period for you. Those who have led people astray in the name of Christianity, they will be exposed. This is the time to hold your God tightly. What is happening will put the fear of God into the hearts of men so that they would know who the true creator of the universe is. This is not the time to be in between or lukewarm.
God has tried what He can to awaken mankind but this seems to be the one thing that will truly turn man back to his creator. Have you noticed how a large portion of the world are at home?
He is a merciful father but will only have mercy on those He will have mercy on. Remember that He is also a righteous Judge.
If you know you are not standing right with Him and still living in sin, this is the time to turn back to God. Tomorrow might be too late because no one knows what may happen with the way things are going. Count yourself lucky to be among those surrendering to God and accepting Jesus because thousands of people never got the opportunity you have now.
Prayer of Salvation
If you are ready to surrender to Jesus then repeat these words with the whole of your heart.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner, I surrender to you. Forgive me all my sins, wash me clean by your blood and deliver me from the power of sin and death. I believe that you died for me and on the third day you rose again. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Thank you Lord for delivering me from the power of sin and death. I am delivered, I am saved and now a child of God.
Congratulations my dear brother and sister. Now a brand new you have emerged because if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5: 17).
Good news
Now I have good news for believers despite all the bad things happening in the world.
There is hope for children of God because the Father has told us to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46: 10). He also says that He has not given us the Spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1: 7).
Meaning that we should be calm even in the midst of this chaotic situation. He also says, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand shall fall at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee.” (Psalm 91: 7). The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and is safe (Proverbs 18: 10).
There are many other promises God has given us. Read the Word of God and you will begin to see them.
Rather than being afraid, this is the period to be calm. Rejoice because God is turning people back to himself and our glorification has begun. It is also important to keep asking God for mercy upon those who are lost in the world so that they can see the light and return back to God.
Fear not, don’t be afraid for if God is for you, who can be against you. Stay Safe and adhere to the precautions being give.
