When it feels like your life is taking a negative turn

Have you ever been in a position where life treats you bad? Has there been a time where you expected something good to come your way but what you got made you feel numb? Did you ever pray that something passes you by and then you realize the situation got even worse after praying? well, I’ve got news for you. Even in the storm when things don’t look like they will get better, there is hope. When it doesn’t seem like God is with you or when you begin to question if He truly loves you, there is hope.

Painting some Scenario about life

A woman who has been believing God for the fruit of the womb finally got a beautiful baby from God. Few years later, that same child was diagnosed with cancer. Prayers went up to heaven regularly, no treatment could help until the child finally died.

A man who was working in an organization became tired of being on the same level and began to pray to God for a change of position, a better place. Few weeks after his prayer, he was fired from his organization and became jobless.

A Christian lady who loves the Lord, one fateful day it was revealed to her who her husband will be. She kept on doing the work of God and kept on pleasing God but the promise God had told her was not looking like it because as things went on, the man she had received from God got married to someone else.

A powerful man of God who preaches about good home, bringing up children in the way of God finds out that his teenage son got a young girl pregnant.

Also, a man of God with the zeal of God, making waves, doing what God has called him to do, fulfilling destiny receives a heartbreaking news that his wife has filed for divorce.

All these scenarios are true and not fiction. Things don’t just happen, they happen for a reason especially if you are a child of God. As impossible as a situation may look like, the ways and thoughts of God are far from ours.

The normal reflex of any man is to give up, to quit following God, to start doubting and questioning God. It will take those that are well grounded in love not to do these things because they know that it does not please God to see them suffer and for the fact that Jesus came to die for us (God’s only begotten son) shows how much God loves us.

These situations can be paralyzing and make one numb. There might even be people encouraging one to curse God and die like Job’s wife did. Always remember that though it may not look like it at all, the promises of God will be fulfilled in your life if you don’t give up, the situation and circumstances notwithstanding.

Like I said earlier, nothing just happens, everything happens for a reason.
For the woman who lost her child, God blessed her with more children. When that child died, she had this peace surrounding her knowing that she will still see her child in Heaven one day.

For the man that was fired from his organization, God had something better for him. Firstly, he needed to leave the place he was and then go through a process of training. This will enable him to cope well in his new office which is far better than where he was.

As for the Christian lady, God knows the kind of person she is and the kind of person that will suit her. He decided to put her through some processes in life that will enable her to fulfill destiny and also shapen her husband to be a better person. At the end of the day, God’s promise still came to pass even though it was not how people pictured it to be but it was perfect.

For every promise God has for us, the devil will always contend it. Don’t expect a smooth sailing at all times but make sure you keep conquering through your faith in God.

God puts us through tests and trials, to mould us into who He wants us to be. This enables us to fulfill destiny in grand style. There are people who have matured and don’t feel stressed out when any trial comes their way. They remain strong in faith giving glory to God for the victory. This is how God wants us to be.

Sometimes, it’s important to take your mind off that trial/ test (after praying to God and believing God for the victory) and focus on something else. It might be difficult but it’s worth trying. Also, speak to the Holy Spirit, He is our help in times of need.

I pray that God upholds you and helps you all through this process. To access the post on “To see the promises of God come to pass in your life”, check here. Feel free to follow our Facebook page for more updates.
